Fees and Terms

Wedding Fee £850

(Elopement’s just for two may be priced differently  – please get in touch for a bespoke quote)

Following your free initial consultation – either face to face, by phone call or by zoom your date will be held for an agreed number of days to enable you to request and return the booking form. If you proceed to a booking arrangement the weeks, and usually months, that follow will be spent crafting your perfect ceremony

My fee includes the following;

• Unlimited communication with me during the months leading up to your ceremony, by email, telephone, text and Zoom
• Ceremony and Getting to Know You questionnaires
• Access to the following support materials: Ideas to Enhance Your Ceremony booklet, Support & guidance booklet for writing personal vows (if applicable), Choosing Your Readings booklet
• The creation of a personalised wedding ceremony script to include wording for any special elements requested; unity candle, ribbon hand tying etc.
• A first draft for you to review
• Unlimited editing and revisions of your ceremony script till perfect
• 1-1 support and assistance with writing your personal vows (if required)
• Optional rehearsal* either the evening before the service or earlier on the day if required. Or a Zoom talk through and/or positioning diagrams for wedding party who are unable to attend rehearsal.
• Liaison with key wedding professionals before and on the day  – photographers, videographers, wedding planners, venue staff.
• Your wedding ceremony professionally delivered on the day as agreed. I will arrive an hour and a half beforehand to greet you and your guests and make sure the ceremony area is set up.
• A chance to sign a commemorative bespoke certificate with two witnesses at the end of the ceremony (note this is not a legal certification of marriage just a keepsake that allows for a special photograph with two special people!)
• A beautiful boxed keepsake copy of the ceremony. This will include your personal vow cards and commemorative certificate if applicable

*Rehearsal in person if within an hour of my home location

Travel expenses– All my prices include travel within an hours radius of Cheltenham. After that all mileage is at 45p per mile.

Accommodation– I am happy to travel throughout the UK.  At cost price if flight tickets, train tickets or overnight stay in hotel required

• Delivery of ceremony on the day

• Interviewing, planning & researching, ceremony writing and delivery

• Liaise with Funeral Directors/ Crematorium/ Woodland Burial site if applicable
• Ceremony sent for checking and approval- agree & modify draft
• Unlimited access via email, telephone, text and Zoom
• Complete final draft of ceremony
• Officiate ceremony
• Keepsake copy of the ceremony if required

Ashes Scattering  – no cost if as a follow on to a funeral completed by me.  If a stand alone booking the fee is £75

*If booking via a funeral director they will make payment arrangements and charge your account accordingly. I do not charge a fee for baby and child funerals (up to the age of 16)

• Interviewing, planning & researching, ceremony writing

• Ceremony sent for checking and approval – agree & modify draft
• Complete final draft of ceremony

• Ceremony released to client, with extra copies as required

Delivery on the day –  Additional charge £55

Accommodation– I am happy to travel throughout the UK and abroad. At cost price if flight tickets, train tickets or overnight stay in hotel required

Funerals and Memorials

If my services are arranged via a Funeral Director, they will arrange to pay my fee and charge you as part of their overall costs. If booking directly, my fee is due 2 days prior to the day of the ceremony. If my services are cancelled, you will be liable for costs relating to any work carried out and possibly the full fee if cancellation is at short notice.

Weddings and Other Celebrations

Payment: A initial payment of 50% is payable at the point of booking. Payment of any balance is due 28 days before your ceremony.

Legal Status: For weddings, civil partnerships and commitment ceremonies you are aware that Celebrant led ceremonies do not currently have legal status in England and Wales. To complete a legal marriage or civil partnership you must complete a statutory registration at a Register office or licensed premises with a Registrar

Cancellation: You have a right to cancel a contract with me without giving any reason within 14 days of entering into the contract. In order to exercise your right to cancel, you must inform me of your decision in writing (letter sent by post or email). You are advised to obtain proof that you have informed me.

To meet the cancellation deadline, you should let me know that you wish to cancel before the cancellation period has expired. If you cancel this contract within this period, I will make the reimbursement without undue delay and not later than 14 days after the cancellation notice has been received. I will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

If you cancel the booking after the 14-day period and prior to 28 days before the ceremony all, or part, of the 50% initial payment will be retained. I will usually retain a pro-rata payment for work already undertaken (including correspondence, administration and holding your date, i.e. turning down other bookings on that day). If cancellation is within 28 days of the ceremony, you will be liable for the full costs.

Postponement.  Any postponement of the event will be honoured providing there is availability to do so. In the event of wishing to postpone you must discuss dates with Julia in order to ensure she can honour your request, other wise the above cancellation fees will apply. Postponement beyond a 12 month period may incur a small additional charge to reflect price increases.
